The Miami Heat have agreed to a four-year contract extension with guard Pelle Larsson that could reach $60 million, rewarding one of the club’s most important young players after his rapid development during the 2025-26 season first reported by Associated Press

The 25-year-old Swedish guard will earn $2.3 million during the 2026-27 season, the final year of his current contract. Without an extension, Larsson would have entered restricted free agency next summer.
Miami chose not to let that happen.
Heat reward a major second-year leap
Larsson entered the NBA as a second-round selection, picked No. 44 overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2024 NBA Draft. Houston moved his draft rights to Miami in a three-team trade on draft night.
The Heat saw something in Larsson’s size, intelligence, toughness and versatility. He began to prove them right as a rookie.
Larsson appeared in 55 games during the 2024-25 season and averaged 4.6 points while shooting 44 percent from the field. He played 14.2 minutes per game and learned within Erik Spoelstra’s demanding system.
