Disney World releases dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Epcot Food and Wine Festival

It’s never too early to start trick-or-treating in Orlando.

Disney World has announced the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the special ticketed event that transforms the Magic Kingdom every spooky season.

The party starts Aug. 7 and runs through Halloween night. The event often sells out, so Disney is starting the celebration a week earlier this year compared to 2025.

Tickets go on sale May 5 for guests staying at select Walt Disney World resort hotels, including Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green. Tickets for the public go on sale May 12.

What makes Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party so charming is that select rides get Halloween overlays. Fans can meet characters dressed in special costumes, then watch spooky entertainment at Cinderella Castle. Kids and adults alike can also trick-or-treat around the park late into the night.

Halloween is big business in Orlando, with Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando also getting into the festivities too.

Disney also revealed the dates for its EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which is running Aug. 27 to Nov. 21.

The festival draws crowds to eat and drink around the world. The Eat to the Beat Concert Series features plenty of nostalgia acts for baby boomers and millennials alike, with past shows including the Beach Boys and Hanson. The concerts are included in regular theme park admission.

“This festival serves delectable dishes and specialty sips inspired by countries and cultures around the world,” Disney said on its parks blog. “The live music, global marketplaces, and specialty merch make it more than just a food festival — it’s become a fall tradition for many!”

Disney will release more information on Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival later this year so fans know what menus and entertainment to expect.
