Let ‘em Run Review of 9/26/26 and Preview of 10/03/26
It continues to be wet and wild here in the Northeast, and we look forward to some clearing weather in the upcoming week. We put together a nice ticket for Churchill Downs, with winners in 4 of 5 races. We really broke down the ticket and the races on the podcast included in the article we posted. If you watched the video, we gave some sharp insights into why we liked our picks, definitely worth the watch. Here is how we did with the picks on Saturday.
Race 7: Churchill Downs Review
The #3 Nymira was a winner and paid a nice $9.20 for the effort. We had this runner on our ticket to get off to a nice start.
Race 8: Churchill Downs Review
We liked the winner #1 Plutarch for trainer Bob Baffert. He has a good one here, worth keeping a watch on as this horse made it look easy, winning by 8-9 lengths going away and paying $5.38. Two down in the P5… let’s keep rolling. Our four picks on our ticket filled out the Superfecta—nice.
Race 9: Churchill Downs Review
We took a stance here, and singled what appeared to be the lone speed with #8 Nu What’s New. An unlikely runner hounded our top pick, and was ultimately beat by #4 Bishop’s Bay. We advised our viewers to consider this horse if your budget allowed on our podcast. Brisnet.com had only a 7% chance for a horse to wire the field, another reason to pay attention to Brisnet.com.
Race 10: Churchill Downs Review
We had the winner tabbed in this race, #2 Dragoon Guard, who partner John Kostin touted heavily on our Happy Hour podcast on Friday. That runner paid out $8.94 for the winning effort.
Race 11: Churchill Downs Review
This marathon turf race played out as we figured, with the winner #10 Snipsnippitysnip closing strongly to just nip #9 Hereforagoodtime for the win and paying a very nice $15.34, keying a healthy payout if you had the winners in the sequence for the P5.
