We’ve already hinted at its impending arrival in London, but Ted Baker Tailored is officially opening on Friday (noon on 2 October). It heralds its return to standalone with a concept store that’s more than a nod to the menswear roots on which the brand was founded.

A destination for “modern tailoring and occasionwear”, it’s a celebration of its “distinctive design, character and quintessential British wit” in the heart of London’s financial district (155 Fenchurch Street).

So Ted Baker Tailored, in partnership with Suit Direct, “creates complete wardrobes for those who value style and attention to detail… from impeccably cut suiting to elevated everyday essentials, each piece combines timeless quality with contemporary design.”

As for the store, expect “unexpected details and characterful touches” throughout.

Henry Stupp, president, Lifestyle EMEAI at the label’s owner Authentic Brands Group, said: “This opening is an important milestone for Ted Baker in its home market and a reaffirmation of the brand’s British heritage and the enduring relevance of the category where it all began.

“We’re building on the qualities that have long distinguished Ted Baker, its approach to tailoring, craftsmanship and distinctly British point of view, while evolving the brand for today’s consumer. London is the natural place to begin, and we see this opening as a defining step in the brand’s next chapter.”

Tim Murphy, CEO of Suit Direct, added: “Ted Baker Tailored represents an exciting new chapter in that partnership – bringing together our expertise in craftsmanship, attention to detail and contemporary style in a dedicated retail space.”
