Let ‘em Run Review: Keeneland Pick 5 Breakdown & Breeders’ Cup Preview

Let ’em Run has live shows all weekend

Let ‘em Run Review of 10/10/26 and Preview of 10/17/26

October is upon us in full effect now, as we look forward to getting ready for the Breeders’ Cup 2026 in Keeneland on Friday 10/29, and Saturday 10/30. We plan to air some special shows with some guests who will bring unique insight to the races that shape this year’s Breeders’ Cup. This upcoming weekend’s racing, we will take a deep dive on our Happy Hour Show covering The Perryville Stakes Grade 3 and The Ravens Run Grade 2 at Keeneland, both races to be run on Saturday. They are part of the P5 sequence Let ‘em Run will break down on our Saturday Podcast at 12:30. The sequence covers Races 6 through 10. Here is how we did this past weekend.

Race 6

We got off to a good start, when we nailed the winner with our top pick #7 Where Luck Lives wired the field as expected. Brisnet.com had this race labeled with a strong wire, speed bias, and Where Luck Lives got the job done and paid $5.14.

Race 7

A 1st time starter here was our top pick, and #6 Tannhauser got the job done for trainer Cherie DeVaux and paid a nice $15.62 for the win. Our P5 ticket was deep in this leg, looking for value, and we found it.

Race 8

Our ticket did not include the winner #8 Steeve who hit the winners circle and paid $12.96. Our top choice #4 Bold Strength had lots of checkmarks that we liked, but did not fire.

Race 9

The race of the day, The QE II Cup was won by #3 Tam Tam, who went to the front and kept our top choice, #4 Faithful Departed at bay all the way to the finish line. Faithful Departed ran a valiant second place winner, but that did not help us.

Race 10

This race played out as expected, and #11 Kay Kay went to the front from a wide post as anticipated, and paid a chalky $5.02. The P5 paid $1,019 if you had the 5 winners along the way.

Let ‘em Run had some nice winners in the sequence, but was unable to string them together to get to the P5 pot of gold. At a steep $270 ticket price, it was tough to come away with another losing week and ticket. For that price, we NEED to come up with some winning Pick 5s, which we have not done in a while here. We hope you used some of our picks with your opinions and had some luck along the way.

Tune in on Friday at 3pm, and again on Saturday at 12:30 when myself and John Kostin will discuss the races on Saturday on our podcast. We can be seen on Sports Talk Media Network and Capital Sports Network. As always, bet smart, cheer hard, fast horse can bring on some serious fun, and just Let ‘em Run.
