The Saturday card, covering races six through ten, offers the kind of chaos, pace quirks, and long‑shot potential that make this turf course famous. The Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint Gr2 6 furlongs turf — 1,750,000
The opening leg is the shortest of the sequence and historically favors runners with early foot. The Nashville Derby Gr2 1 5⁄16 miles turf — 3,000,000
This is where we tighten the ticket. The #3 Glacius (GB) at 4‑1 is the top Prime Power runner per Brisnet and comes off a strong Saratoga win. He may control the pace and owns the highest last‑out speed rating. We also include #10 Go Grey at 20‑1 for trainer Michael Maker, who claimed this runner for 100K and keeps Jose Ortiz aboard.
Race 9
The Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Gr2 1 mile turf — 1,500,000
A short field and a heavy favorite make this leg straightforward for many handicappers. The #2 Classic Q at 4‑5 has faced elite company and draws well. She may simply be too tough from this post. If the pace gets contested, #4 Hang the Moon at 4‑1 could pick up pieces late. Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. hands the ride to Micah Husbands.
Race 10
The Music City Gr2 6 1⁄2 furlongs turf — 1,500,000
Another strong favorite looms in the finale. The #1 Cy Fair at 6‑5 owns a sparkling 7‑5‑1‑1 record and sits atop the Prime Power rankings. We also include #10 Sapphire Beach (Ire) at 6‑1, who had trouble last time out and bled but still ran respectably. A cleaner break gives Jose Ortiz more options from the outside.
