There have been some big developments at OTB Group recently and another came on Wednesday as it announced the appointment of Serge Brunschwig as CEO of Jil Sander and chief strategy officer of the group. He’ll report to Ubaldo Minelli, OTB Group CEO.
It’s big move for OTB but also for Brunschwig himself who had seemed to have French luxury giant LVMH running through his veins but is now at a more disruptive Italy-based group.
After joining the French conglomerate in 1995, he took on various high-profile leadership roles over the years in companies within the wider business.
So clearly, OTB now has one of the luxury fashion sector’s biggest hitters on its team.
Minelli said of the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Serge Brunschwig to our group. In his role as CEO of Jil Sander, Serge will aim to further elevate the positioning of this brand with invaluable potential, carefully and strategically guiding its growth trajectory. Thanks to his experience and international vision, he will also contribute to defining an even more ambitious strategic path for OTB.”
As mentioned, OTB has been making continuous headlines of late. Most recently Viktor & Rolf renewed their contracts for a further five years, and last week Maison Margiela announced Glenn Martens as its new creative chief, succeeding John Galliano who left two months ago. As for Jil sander itself, there have recently been rumours that Daniel Lee is headed there to succeed Luke and Lucie Meier.
