Paris unveils a host of new perfume and jewellery destinations

Parisian shop windows are changing their face. Behind some of them, perfume and jewellery houses are unveiling new décors, new experiences and, in some cases, an entirely new way of imagining the boutique. From Rue Saint-Honoré to Rue François 1er, here is an overview of the latest openings.

Maison Crivelli brings its world to Rue Saint-Honoré

Since September 19, the house has brought its sensory universe to life at 314 Rue Saint-Honoré with the opening of its first global flagship. Conceived as a “perfume agora,” the venue invites visitors to explore rather than simply come to purchase a fragrance.

Behind a deliberately understated façade, the space is revealed gradually. On the ground floor, curved benches in charred wood create a contemporary agora around the collections. The bottles are displayed on sculptural terracotta totems, while honeycomb-like wall structures form a kind of olfactory map.

The décor plays on contrasts between terracotta, creamy sand, and black. Terracotta, Maison Crivelli’s signature colour, extends across the walls, structures and furnishings, shifting with the light. Exclusive pieces crafted by artisans, notably the hand-blown glass totems, complete this universe.

A library-cum-cabinet of curiosities brings together the objects, keepsakes and artefacts that feed Thibaud Crivelli’s imagination. Conceived as a living space, the collection evolves with his travels and discoveries.

The experience continues upstairs, where the atmosphere becomes more intimate. Light filters through screens inspired by Japanese kōshi, shaping a more cocooning space devoted to a more personal exploration of the house’s world.

Ex Nihilo Paris returns to Rue Saint-Honoré

Perfumery is beginning to feel at home on Rue Saint-Honoré. Hardly had Maison Crivelli opened its first flagship at number 314 when, a few doors down, Ex Nihilo in turn moved onto the Parisian thoroughfare. On September 29, the haute parfumerie house is inaugurating its new flagship at number 326, just a stone’s throw from Place Vendôme, returning to the neighbourhood where it first set up shop on its creation in 2013.

Covering 124 square metres over two floors, the space has been designed more as a private apartment than a traditional shop. The ground floor, dedicated to discovering the collections, blends wood, marble and the house’s signature blue, while the upper floor houses a private lounge reserved for olfactory consultations.

At the heart of the space, the Osmologue embodies one of Ex Nihilo’s signature experiences. This high-precision dosing instrument, clad in polished brass and inspired by traditional perfumery stills, enables customers to personalise a fragrance by adding a final touch.

The creation is then weighed, filtered and bottled before the customer’s eyes, and accompanied by a numbered, signed certificate of authenticity. The bottle itself can also be personalised with a name, initials or a date, while an engraved cap completes the flacon. This experience, lasting around 30 minutes, transforms the perfume into a truly personal object.

The upper floor extends this approach with a consultation lounge available by appointment. Here, consultants compose an olfactory journey based on the customer’s memories and preferences, which may lead to a bespoke creation or the building of a veritable olfactory wardrobe.

Van Cleef & Arpels unveils a new showcase on Rue François 1er

After fragrances, it is now the turn of precious stones. Van Cleef & Arpels is unveiling a new Parisian address at 18–20 Rue François 1er, in the 8th arrondissement. Across more than 160 square metres, the house has created a contemporary jewel box where Art Deco codes enter into dialogue with its historical inspirations.

The boutique unfolds as a series of adjoining spaces, creating a succession of rooms with an intimate atmosphere. Mouldings, light fittings and furnishings echo Art Deco lines, while an imposing Murano glass chandelier greets visitors across three levels. Every element of the space has been handcrafted by specialist artisans.

The décor is built around a palette of beige and black, punctuated with references to nature, one of Van Cleef & Arpels’ historic sources of inspiration. Large landscapes, hand-painted on green silk and highlighted with gold leaf, dress the spaces and provide a setting for the jewellery and watch collections.

A private lounge prolongs the experience with a more cocooning ambience. Its curved lines and pink tones frame a painted and embroidered landscape, conceived as an invitation to contemplation.

The address also gives pride of place to transmission. A library area brings together books and iconographic documents that offer an insight into the world of Van Cleef & Arpels as well as the history of the neighbourhood, close to Avenue des Champs-Élysées and Place de la Concorde.

Since its birth at 22 Place Vendôme in 1906, the house has maintained a close bond with Paris and with couture savoir-faire.

The young jewellery house Creia Paris is preparing to take its first steps into the Parisian retail scene. Founded by Rhea Hamamji, co-founder and artistic director of the house, the brand will open its first boutique on 30 September on Rue Scribe, just a stone’s throw from the Opéra and Place Vendôme.

Covering 60 square metres, this new address marks an important milestone for the young house, which aims to make its Parisian boutique a place where visitors can discover its universe and its creations.

Majorica opens its first international boutique in Paris

The Spanish brand specialising in pearls and jewellery is beginning its international expansion. Majorica has opened its first boutique in Paris, at 76 Rue Vieille-du-Temple, in the heart of the Marais. This opening marks the Majorcan company’s entry into the French market.

The new store has been designed as an extension of the architectural concept the brand first developed in its flagship in Palma in May this year. Created by the studio Marcos Catalán & Marta García Orte, the project combines natural materials – wood, lime mortar and handcrafted finishes – to create a warm, Mediterranean atmosphere that echoes the brand’s origins.

This opening represents a major milestone in Majorica’s development, having previously focused its expansion efforts on the domestic market. Among its most notable openings in recent months are its first standalone boutique in Valencia, at 52 Calle Colón, and a new boutique on Calle Preciados in Madrid. Nationwide, the brand operates nearly 70 points of sale, including its own boutiques, multi-brand outlets and corners in department stores across Spain, with a strong presence in cities such as Málaga, Alicante, Barcelona, and Majorca.

Founded in 1890, Majorica specialises in pearl jewellery and hails from Majorca. The company entered insolvency proceedings in 2020, before being acquired by Majolaperla in 2021. Since October 2025, the brand has been headed by Isabelle Aberman as managing director, succeeding Jean-Christophe Queyroux, who remains involved with the company as a member of its board of directors.
