Italian luxury brand Missoni has opened its first-ever Sydney store, located in the heart of Australia’s biggest metropolis.
Located at 25 Martin Place, the new Missoni Sydney store spans 157 square metres of retail space over two floors. Offering locals a unique experience that blends architecture, design, and fashion, the new boutique brings to life Varese-based brand’s iconic zig-zag pattern that characterises its luxury fabrics and products.

The zig-zag pattern is interpreted through three-dimensional coverings, playing with light to highlight the details of the surfaces, and producing a neutral canvas to emphasize the colours and fine fabrics of the collections.
The boutique also reflects the brand’s values amd choice of materials, including Milleforma Cotone, a composite material made from cotton linters and clay.
Founded by in 1953 by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, Missoni today crafts and retails a wide range of products and projects, including ready-to-wear collections for women and men, sportswear, beachwear, textile accessories.
“The architectural concept is to create a neutral environment wherein colours and fabrics of the clothing and accessories can stand out, without renouncing a certain level of characteristic style and refinement in the use and choice of materials and lighting,” reads a Missoni press release.
The boutique also retails a range of Missoni clothing and accessories for women’s both from the ready-to-wear and beachwear collections, in addition to the Missoni home collection.
In 2018, the brand entered into a partnership with the Italian Strategic Fund, wherein the latter took a majority stake in the family-run brand. Earlier this year, Rosita Missoni passed away, aged 93.
