Magic Expand Tampa Television Coverage Through WMOR‑TV
The Orlando Magic are expanding their reach into the Tampa market for the 2026‑27 NBA season. The team announced a new partnership with WMOR‑TV, a Hearst Television-owned station, to broadcast all regular season Magic games that are not nationally exclusive. The move gives Tampa viewers full over‑the‑air access to Magic basketball on WMOR‑TV Channel 32.
The agreement builds on last season’s arrangement, when WMOR‑TV aired 10 Magic games as part of an initial partnership. With the expanded deal, Magic fans in Tampa-St. Petersburg—the nation’s 11th-largest television market—will now have consistent access to the team throughout the season.
Magic President of Business Operations Charlie Freeman said the expanded partnership strengthens the team’s connection to fans across the region. He emphasized that WMOR‑TV’s reach and commitment to local sports programming make it an ideal broadcast home for Magic basketball in Tampa.
WMOR‑TV Strengthens Its Role in Central Florida Sports
WMOR‑TV President and General Manager John Soapes said the station is excited to deepen its relationship with the Magic. He noted that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering high-quality sports content and expanding accessibility for viewers across Central Florida.
The station’s footprint covers Tampa-St. Petersburg and surrounding communities, giving the Magic a strong broadcast presence in a market that continues to show growing interest in the team. The expanded coverage also aligns with the Magic’s broader strategy to strengthen regional engagement.
Familiar Voices Return to the Broadcast Booth
Magic broadcasts will continue to feature a familiar and experienced crew. Dante Marchitelli returns as the full-time play-by-play voice, bringing his long-standing connection to the franchise and its fans. Former Magic forward Jeff Turner will again serve as analyst, offering insight from his years on the court and in the broadcast booth.
Kendra Douglas enters her fourth season as the Magic’s team reporter, providing features, interviews and behind-the-scenes coverage throughout the year.
More Broadcast Details Coming Soon
The Magic will release a complete station lineup and broadcast schedule at a later date, outlining how fans across the regional territory can access games. The team also plans to announce a direct-to-consumer streaming partner in the near future, giving viewers additional flexibility and modern viewing options.
With WMOR‑TV now serving as the Tampa home for Magic basketball, fans across Central Florida will have more ways than ever to follow the team throughout the 2026‑27 season.
