Malaysian football club Johor Darul Ta’zim have launched JDT+, a subscription streaming platform offering fans a closer look behind the scenes of the Southern Tigers.
Leading the launch is UNTAMED, a 76-minute documentary exploring the club’s transformation under HRH Tunku Ismail Ibrahim and their ambitions to compete with Asia’s strongest teams.
What is UNTAMED about?
Announced for an October 22 premiere exclusively on JDT+, the documentary follows the people, challenges and decisions behind JDT’s rise into one of Southeast Asia’s leading clubs.
The Southern Tigers became the first Southeast Asian side to win the AFC Cup in 2015. UNTAMED explores the vision behind that development, taking the story beyond results and trophies.
“JDT+ is another important step in the way JDT continues to grow, not only as a football club, but as a modern sporting organisation,” JDT chief executive officer Luis Garcia said.
“It gives our supporters the opportunity to see much more of what JDT really is.”
What else will fans be able to watch?
Following UNTAMED, the platform will introduce OUTBOUND, an annual documentary series following JDT’s AFC Champions League Elite campaign.
The programming is part of the club’s efforts to reach supporters beyond Malaysia. Garcia previously told the Daily Mail: “We also want to connect with fans around the world.”
Continental success remains a major ambition.
“Of course, if we could win a Champions League, that would be the dream,” Garcia said.
Fans can visit jdtplus.com for subscription information and access to the club’s premium content.
