One of the most prominent law firms in Florida is naming a top administrator to its Panhandle office.
GrayRobinson has appointed lawyer Joseph A. Passeretti to Managing Shareholder of the firm’s office in Pensacola. The Northwest Florida location for the firm was opened in December 2024 and is one of 16 offices GrayRobinson has across the state and in Washington, D.C.
Dean Cannon, President and CEO of GrayRobinson, said Passeretti has helped develop the Emerald Coast outlet for the law firm.
“Joe has been a driving force in establishing GrayRobinson’s presence in the Northwest Florida community,” Cannon said. “We said from day one that we were planting our flag here, not just adding an office, and Joe exemplifies that notion through nearly two decades of civic leadership in this community. We are confident in the leadership he will bring to our Pensacola team in this new role.”
Passeretti was part of the team that got the firm going on the Gulf Coast, and he’s had a high-profile presence in the Pensacola community for years. He’s the past President of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, having previously served as its Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. He also chaired The Florida Bar Construction Certification Committee from 2023 to 2024.

Passeretti handles clients involved in civil litigation across Florida and in federal courts as well. His area of practice centers on construction law, contract and commercial disputes and employment law. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his bachelor of arts degree from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.
GrayRobinson has about 300 professionals and also runs an influential lobbying practice in Florida.
