July 1 World Cup Knockout Round: USA and England Own the Spotlight
The World Cup rolls into July with the Round of 32 delivering high‑stakes drama and massive audiences across the United States, Canada, the UK, and Australia. The USA and England both land in marquee positions on July 1, giving fans two heavyweight national storylines as the knockout bracket tightens.
England open the day at 12:00 PM against Congo DR, a matchup built around England’s speed, depth, and knockout‑round pedigree. Their midfield control and finishing power give them a clear path, but Congo DR’s counterattack has surprised opponents all tournament. England enter July with confidence and a fan base expecting a deep run.
The afternoon window features Belgium vs Senegal at 4:00 PM, a stylistic clash that always produces compelling football. Belgium’s possession game meets Senegal’s athletic pressure, making it one of the most balanced Round of 32 pairings.
The night belongs to the USA, who face Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8:00 PM in a prime‑time slot designed for maximum American reach. The US attack has grown sharper with each match, and the back line has tightened at the right moment. With momentum building and a favorable bracket position, this is a major opportunity for the United States to push into the Round of 16.
