Visiting Disney World will cost you more with new price increases

The price to get into the Most Magical Place on Earth is going up starting Wednesday.

Disney World is increasing prices for tickets, annual passes, standard parking and Lighting Lane passes to skip lines, several outlets are reporting.

For Disney visitors, buying a ticket to the Magic Kingdom to celebrate Christmas in 2026 will cost up to $209 for a one-day ticket, which is the first time the cost has ever been above $200, according to Disney watcher Scott Gustin.

The previous highest price was $199, Gustin reported.

Visiting Disney theme parks is cheaper at less popular times. Disney is set to report its upcoming quarterly earnings Nov. 13. 

Meanwhile, Disney World annual passes are jumping between $20 and $80.

Standard theme park parking will also increase to $35 per day, up from the previous $30.

And if you want to buy Lightning Lane passes to skip the crowds, you could pay up to $45 per day for a multipass. It had previously cost $39 maximum.

Food and drink prices are also jumping across the board, Walt Disney World News Today reported.

Disney argues there are still affordable options for fans.

“Disney Parks offer a full day of experiences each day, with ticket, hotel, and dining options designed to suit a wide range of needs and budgets for all who visit,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement to USA Today. “Our commitment to creating magical experiences for everyone remains at the heart of what we do — and that will never change.” 

Disney has faced criticism for years that its ever-growing prices made Disney World vacations out of reach for average families.

The LendingTree, a financial institution, surveyed more than 2,000 people and found 45% of parents with children under 18 who have gone to Disney went into debt for their vacation.
