United Legwear & Apparel names new Europe head

United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC) announced on Tuesday the appointment of Tony Lucia to the role of president of ULAC Europe BV, including ULAC UK, the company’s wholly-owned European and UK subsidiaries, headquartered in the Netherlands and London.

The New York-based apparel manufacturer said Lucia will be responsible for leading sales efforts in the UK and EU for client brands such as Scotch & Soda, Ted Baker (e-commerce), Hurley and Skechers

He will report to United Legwear & Apparel Co. CEO,​ Cyril Hottot.

The appointment comes as ULAC looks to expand across the UK and EU markets, with plans for increasing sales in both brick-and-mortar and digital channels, strengthening consumer engagement, and fostering innovation across all aspects of the business, according to a press release.

​”We are strengthening our foundation in Europe with a clear vision for the future,” said Hottot. “Bringing Tony on board is a pivotal step in scaling our operations, enhancing our market presence, and delivering even greater value to our retail partners. His extensive experience with global brands like Armani, Hugo Boss, Escada, and G-Star Raw positions him as a key driver of our continued success.”

Founded by Isaac Ash, ULAC is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of apparel, legwear, bodywear, and accessories.

Today, the company is a joint venture partner of Puma North America; has distribution partnerships with Scotch & Soda, Hurley and Ted Baker; and maintains licensed brands such as Skechers, Van Heusen, DKNY, Champion, Arrow, and Weatherproof. It also  owns the Pro Player and Lemon brands and develops a range of private-label brands tailored to leading retailers.
