MTV is not bringing back their annual celebration of the best of pop culture … we’ve learned their famous ‘Movie & TV Awards’ show has been nixed for the second straight year.

Sources close to production tell TMZ … the annual event is not returning this year and remains “on pause.”

It sounds like the future of the awards show is very much up in the air … we’re told no plans to bring it back, or to scrap it altogether, have been solidified.

MTV “paused” the awards show last year … but at the time we were told the show was not canceled and would return in 2025 with an updated format.

There’s been some major changes since we were told in May 2024 the show was coming back … Paramount Global, MTV’s parent company, is merging with Skydance Media, and last month Paramount honcho Bruce Gillmer reportedly sent a company memo about major events being suspended.

Gillmer’s memo didn’t mention the “MTV Movie & TV Awards” but now it’s joining the CMT Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards among those on the sidelines.

The show had a good run from 1992 to 2023 … but it’s been a rough few years, and it will be interesting to see what lies ahead.

Before this snackin’ kid in her red tutu turned into a movie star, she was just rockin’ her army green tee, runnin’ the streets of the concrete jungle and jumpstarting her acting career when she was just 9 years old.

Later this year, she will be starring in the horror film “Fear Street: Prom Queen,” and if you’ve watched “A Bad Moms Christmas” with Mila Kunis, you probably saw this brunette kiddo.

St. Patrick’s Day may be just around the corner, but this sweetie in green is in a no-pinch zone!

Jamien Sherwood celebrated his new New York Jets contract in the most linebacker way possible … by engorging on an enormous cut of steak!

TMZ Sports has learned … just two days after the 25-year-old agreed to sign a new $45 million deal with the Jets — he and some pals hit up the world-renowned Benjamin Prime in NYC to rejoice.

We’re told the footballer and his group all feasted on some signature porterhouses — which Sherwood enjoyed with a medium temp.

As for the mood — those at the restaurant say Sherwood and his friends were very friendly and approachable.

This, of course, is the second time a New York superstar has hit up the famed eatery to celebrate a momentous contract … you’ll recall, back in December, Juan Soto also chowed down on some meat and champagne at the restaurant after signing his $756 million Mets pact.

There’s a good chance both make it back, too … as after putting pen to paper — the guys are now locked into contracts with their respective New York franchises for the foreseeable future.
