The Florida Bar to install new President-elect for lawyer group

Paige A. Greenlee has been involved in leadership of The Florida Bar for years.

The top organization for lawyers in Florida is developing its leadership makeup for the next couple of years.

Paige A. Greenlee will soon take over one of the top slots of The Florida Bar. She was chosen as the organization’s President-elect Designate.

Greenlee has been part of The Florida Bar leadership team for years and is an experienced lawyer in the Tampa area. She’ll be sworn in as President-elect at the Annual Florida Bar Convention on June 19. The event is slated for the Signia by Hilton Orlando hotel.

That’s when Michael Fox Orr from Jacksonville will take over as President, and Greenlee will be installed as President-elect and set to take the helm in the 2027-2028 year for The Florida Bar.

Greenlee is a graduate of Emory University School of Law, where she earned her law degree in 2000. She’s the sole lawyer at Greenlee Law, with 20 years of professional service. That also includes serving as president of The Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.

Greenlee was a member of the Florida Bar Executive Committee for six years and has chaired or co-chaired several Boards and Committees.

She campaigned for President-elect on a platform that emphasized access to justice and court efficiency, while also emphasizing professionalism, civility and ethics.

In The Florida Bar membership voting for President-elect, Greenlee garnered 7,244 votes. That mounted to a notable margin over her competitor, Jeffrey Ryner, who snagged 4,583 votes.

Members also voted on races for the Board of Governors. Adam White of Pensacola won Seat 1 on the First Circuit Board. Meanwhile, Robert Becerra and Vanessa Fasquez de Lara have to face off in a runoff for the Board’s 11th Circuit Seat 5. That will be decided by Florida Bar members who vote between March 21 and April 7.

The Florida Bar has about 120,000 members.
