Japanese performance brand Asics and Parisian fashion label A.P.C. have unveiled a new tennis-inspired collaboration, blending sport and lifestyle pieces in a unisex capsule set to launch globally on April 5—two months ahead of Roland Garros. This marks the second collaboration between the two brands, following an earlier golf-themed release.
The designs are influenced by the Japanese layering tradition, Kasane Asics – Asics
After exploring golf, A.P.C. is now serving tennis. The Paris-based studio has partnered with Asics to create a line inspired by the preppy aesthetic of the 1970s. With clean cuts and A.P.C.’s signature minimalist edge, the performance collection includes 20 pieces for both men and women—ranging from dresses and sleeveless tops to tees, shorts, and sports bras. The apparel is complemented by co-branded versions of the Gel-Resolution X A.P.C. and Solution Speed FF 3 A.P.C. sneakers.
On the court, performance pieces lead. Off the court, lifestyle takes over. Artistic director Judith Touitou has added her signature relaxed touch to the collection, featuring Gel-Kayano 14 A.P.C. sneakers and accessories like a denim racket tote made from Japanese organic cotton with a front pocket to hold your racket. The capsule plays with Kasane-inspired layering details and references traditional Japanese Shibori dyeing techniques. A.P.C.’s logo is seamlessly integrated with Asics’ emblem.
A mix of lifestyle and athletic pieces defines the collection – Asics
“This is our first complete tennis collection, and partnering with A.P.C. felt natural,” said Camille Eberhard, head of apparel at Asics. “Our teams worked closely to create a line that merges performance and style, giving athletes both confidence and freedom of movement. The court-ready looks combine timeless elegance with technical innovation, while the lifestyle range carries that same spirit into everyday wear.”
Judith Touitou, A.P.C.’s artistic director, added: “We wanted to design silhouettes that feel as pure as possible—highlighting the beauty of Asics athletes in motion. We carried that same mindset into daily life, adding a playful note through our gradient print on the nylon pieces.”
Asics tennis athletes will wear pieces from the collaboration during major European tournaments in the coming months.
Retail entrepreneur Christine Hunsicker has resigned from her position as chief executive officer of CaaStle after the fashion-technology startup’s board of directors alleged she misrepresented the company’s performance to investors, according to a March 29 letter to shareholders seen by Bloomberg News.
Bloomberg
CaaStle faces “a severe and immediate liquidity problem,” and the board is considering options including a possible wind down, liquidation or strategic transaction, according to the letter. The company is planning a two-week-long furlough for its employees. Law enforcement authorities are also investigating the matter and the company is cooperating, the letter said.
Hunsicker didn’t respond to calls and emails seeking comment.
“The performance to date has not matched what Christine claimed — we have learned that Christine provided certain investors with misstated financial statements and two falsified audit opinions, as well as capitalization information that understated the number of company shares outstanding,” the letter said.
“The board is deeply disappointed by the conduct that has led to this moment,” a representative for CaaStle said in a separate statement to Bloomberg. “Our immediate focus is on addressing the company’s challenges, supporting our employees, and preserving the value of our technology and business operations.”
The board has appointed George Goldenberg, the firm’s chief operating officer and board member as interim CEO, according to the letter, details of which were first reported by Axios.
CaaStle, based in New York, began as Gwynnie Bee Inc. in 2011 and changed its legal name in 2018, according to an auditor’s report attached to the letter. It provides rental subscription services for owned and third-party retailers. The company has retained ICR for restructuring and strategic communications advice, according a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named discussing confidential information.
Hunsicker also co-founded P180 with Brendan Hoffman, which aims to invest in or acquire brands and retailers to use CaaStle technology, according to a 2024 press release. In January, P180 announced that it had acquired a majority stake in Vince Holding Corp., which operates the Vince brand.

Saks Global has announced that it will maintain operations at the Neiman Marcus Downtown Dallas store through the 2025 holiday season, while working with the City of Dallas on a new vision for the location.

Initially, Saks Global had planned to close the flagship store on Monday after more than a century in downtown Dallas, following a notice from its landlord terminating the lease. However, an effort by city officials and business leaders led to the City of Dallas acquiring the property, preserving the site’s legacy and opening the door for a potential revitalization.
City officials recently convened with Saks Global leadership to discuss a range of potential concepts for the reimagined store. These proposals include a luxury retail experience, a curated art exhibition, a multi-purpose fashion and event center, and an incubator for fashion design and manufacturing.
“We deeply admire the city’s passion and unwavering dedication to Neiman Marcus’ storied legacy in Dallas. The potential reimagination of this iconic shopping destination reinforces Saks Global’s commitment to redefining the luxury shopping experience,” said Marc Metrick, chief executive officer of Saks Global.
“As we explore opportunities for the Downtown store, along with the planned renovation at the NorthPark store, we will evaluate the opportunity to utilize both locations to serve different customer needs in the Dallas market.”
Since its establishment in 1907, Neiman Marcus has been a cornerstone of Dallas, shaping its fashion scene and contributing to the city’s cultural and civic landscape. Saks Global acquired Neiman Marcus Group for a total enterprise value of $2.7 billion, last year.
“We are excited that Saks Global has decided to keep Neiman Marcus open downtown, as we explore the opportunity to unlock the potential to transform downtown into an international beacon and economic engine for fashion – just as the Neiman Marcus founders intended when they opened the store more than 100 years ago,” added Dallas city manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert.
“We look forward to exploring what‘s on the horizon and are committed to continuing our conversations with the Saks Global team.”
