The Tampa Bay Rays will open ticket sales next week for the 2026 Spring Training season as the team prepares to return to Tropicana Field later this year.

The Rays will again train and play home exhibition games at the Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, but expect to make a long-awaited return to Tropicana Field for the regular season this year now that hurricane repairs to the facility are nearing completion. Spring Training ticket sales open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

Tampa Bay is scheduled to open its Spring schedule at home against the Atlanta Braves on Feb. 21. All home games will begin at 1:05 p.m.

The Rays will also host an exhibition game against the Netherlands national baseball team on March 4. The game will serve as a tune-up ahead of the World Baseball Classic, an international competition held every three years featuring top professional players representing their home countries.

The schedule includes the third annual Spring Breakout Game on March 19, when the Rays face the New York Mets in Port St. Lucie.

Rays Insiders, season members, corporate partners and Spring Training season ticket holders will receive presale access prior to the general public on-sale date. Details will be shared via email, and fans are encouraged to sign up as Rays Insiders through the team’s newsletter for more information.

The Rays are offering a customizable three-game Spring Training package this season, allowing fans to buy tickets for any three home games and save on ticket fees at checkout. Up to six three-game packages may be purchased per account.

The announcement comes as the Rays’ new ownership group continues discussions about the franchise’s long-term future in St. Petersburg.

The city has completed roof repairs at Tropicana Field and are finalizing interior work following significant damage caused by Hurricane Milton, clearing the way for the Rays’ return when the regular season opens in April. However, new Rays’ ownership is still evaluating potential sites for a new stadium somewhere in the Tampa Bay region for the 2029 season, and envisions a future project similar to the Atlanta Braves’ Battery district

In the meantime, 2026 represents a return home, a refreshed Tropicana Field and a reset with fans after a season spent at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.
