Superdrug continues to open supersized new stores at pace, with the latest expansion at Cribbs Mall in Bristol becoming the UK health & beauty retail giant’s biggest location in the Southwest.
The upsized 8,901 sq ft space, which has created 25 new permanent jobs, gives customers access to “the largest range of health and beauty products, everyday toiletries, beauty treatments, and luxury fragrances” in the area, with the biggest store format offering a bigger selection of cosmetics, premium fragrances, and beauty services.
An expanded beauty offer includes its own-brand cosmetics range, Studio London, as well as other best-selling ranges such as B. Skin, Me+, Vitamin E, and Optimum. Exclusive beauty and personal care brands also include MCo and Morphe.
The opening becomes one of 30 Superdrug destinations nationwide to feature its Beauty Playground concept, “which is redefining the in-store experience for customers”.
Positioned as a “hub for beauty discovery”, it enables customers to test and trial the latest products, interact with new and exclusive brands, and receive guidance from trained brand ambassadors.
The concept also incorporates content creation spaces, including social stations with ring lights, allowing shoppers to capture and share their experiences in-store.
Adding to it all, the dedicated Beauty Studio accesses “affordable” professional treatments including brow, nail and piercing services. Alongside this, the store will offer customers access to a new nurse-led clinic, offering treatments such as flu jabs.
The store also offers Superdrug’s Health & Beautycard and VIP Rewards to collect points to redeem on future purchases, with exclusive offers available for cardholders, including lower member prices, bonus point offers, birthday treats, and the option to pay with points, it noted.
Asset director for mall operator Sovereign Centros by CBRE, Katie Searle, said: “As one of our most popular brands Superdrug has always performed strongly at Cribbs Mall. [The] upsize is testament to how big brands continue to invest in their spaces at Cribbs as they look to enhance the shopper experience.”
