New footage shows Nick Reiner walking around in Santa Monica hours before his parents’ dead bodies were discovered in their Brentwood home … and he’s heading toward the hotel he checked into.

TMZ obtained surveillance video from a local business on Santa Monica Pier. You see Nick walking down the sidewalk, towards the Pierside Santa Monica hotel.

The video was shot around 4 AM Sunday … and Nick looks like he’s carrying a black backpack and wearing a hat … just like the video we obtained of him at a Brentwood gas station earlier in the evening.

We don’t know if this video of Nick was shot before or after he allegedly murdered his parents.

What we do know is that he checked into the hotel approximately 6 minutes after he’s seen in this footage. Sources with direct knowledge told us no one saw any blood on Nick when he arrived at the hotel at 4:15 AM.

We broke the story … hotel staff found blood in the shower and on the bed in Nick’s room … and the window was covered by bed sheets.

Nick was arrested Sunday night near USC campus in downtown Los Angeles … and he’s since been charged with murdering his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner.

In footage from his arrest, Nick has a red backpack … so it looks like he switched bags at some point after going to the hotel.

Late NASCAR star Greg Biffle‘s wife, Cristina, sent her mom an alarming message minutes before they died in a plane crash.

Cristina Biffle texted her mother, “We’re in trouble,” according to PEOPLE.

Greg’s mother-in-law, Cathy Grossu, told the outlet that’s all she heard from her daughter before the plane crash … and she says the family is “devastated” and “brokenhearted.”

As we reported … Thursday’s fiery crash in North Carolina claimed seven lives … Greg, Cristina, and his two kids … plus Dennis Dutton, his son, Jack, and Craig Wadsworth.

The private jet, a Cessna C550, was registered to a company owned by Biffle … and it crash-landed near a runway 26 minutes after taking off from Statesville Regional Airport.

The flight was originally scheduled to travel to Florida, but the plane seemed to turn back towards the airport just minutes into the flight.

It’s unclear what caused the crash … the FAA is investigating.

Kata Hay, a former contestant on “The Voice,” has been arrested on a vehicular homicide warrant … TMZ has learned.

The Goodlettsville Police Department in Tennessee tells TMZ she had a warrant out of Davidson County, TN … and was picked up by authorities in Oklahoma early Wednesday morning. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office in OK tells TMZ a deputy from their department arrested her in a residence in the county on the active Tennessee warrant.

She’s currently being held at the Osage County Jail in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and the sheriff’s office tells us she will go before a district court judge Monday to sign a waiver of extradition.

This isn’t Kata’s first run-in with the law. She served several months in jail in 2022 after she pleaded guilty to making sexual advances toward a 16-year-old boy when she was 35. At the time, the victim’s mother claimed she shoved her tongue in his mouth and touched him inappropriately outside of his jeans. While the country singer argued the story wasn’t fully accurate, she wasn’t able to support her argument.

TMZ has reached out to Kata for comment … so far, no word back.
