A Louisiana middle school counselor was found dead Wednesday after he was accused of inappropriately messaging a minor, leading authorities to issue an arrest warrant.
Quinton Dixon — a counselor at Westdale Middle Magnet School in Baton Rouge — died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Baton Rouge Police Department tells TMZ. We’re told his body was found on the campus of the former Glen Oaks Middle School, an abandoned school no longer part of the school system.
Dixon was accused earlier this month of sending multiple flirty Instagram messages to a 14-year-old between early November 2025 and early January. TMZ can confirm a warrant for his arrest was filed Wednesday on 4 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System tells TMZ Dixon was placed on leave over the allegations. They added … “We extend our condolences to the school community, family and loved ones as they process this information during this difficult time … I CARE counselors and support resources are available for students and employees who may need them, and we encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out for support.”
