San Antonio Spurs to win NBA championship says Supercomputer

A 2026/27 NBA supercomputer has projected that the San Antonio Spurs will win the championship for the sixth time in their history.

The supercomputer, which was conducted by Squawka, utilises a combination of mathematical probability algorithms and agentic AI to project the result of the competition.

The Spurs are projected to finish top of the Western Conference and ultimately avenge their 4-1 defeat to the New York Knicks in the 2026 NBA Finals with a win in six against them in 2027. According to the prediction model, they have a 25% chance of winning the Championship.

This win would be the Spurs’ first NBA championship since 2014, while they are projected to go back-to-back in the Western Conference Finals to secure their 24th divisional accolade.

For the Knicks, heartbreak is predicted after they won their first championship since 1973 in the 2026 Finals. Despite ultimate disappointment, New York are projected to finish top of the Eastern Conference and win the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Knicks are projected to beat LeBron James’ Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Finals, ensuring the 41-year-old’s six-year wait for an NBA championship continues.

In the Western Conference, meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are expected to run the Spurs close in the conference finals, pushing them all the way to seven games.
