The Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Political Operations Division is endorsing Rick Singh in the open Orange County Clerk of Courts race.
“Rick Singh is a principled and proven leader who deeply understands the administrative and financial needs of Central Florida’s diverse communities,” the organization said in a lengthy endorsement supporting Singh. “We urge voters to support his campaign and help bring strong, experienced, and principled leadership to this vital office.”
In remarks directed at Singh, the Chamber laid out its rationale for supporting his bid.
“Rick, you have a clear vision for a more efficient and transparent Clerk’s office. Your commitment to accountability, operational excellence, and meaningful public engagement makes you the leader we need to oversee our county’s judicial and financial records,” the organization said.
“We are especially encouraged by your focus on making public services more accessible, streamlined, and supportive of working-class families and local entrepreneurs. Your extensive executive experience and deep community roots equip you to serve with both wisdom and efficiency. Rick Singh, you have earned our trust, and we are confident you will ensure that the Clerk of Courts office operates with the highest standards of integrity and fairness for all residents.”
Singh, the former Orange County Property Appraiser, is running against term-limited Orange County Commissioner Maribel Gomez Cordero, real estate agent Terrell Thomas, and Roberta Walton Johnson, who is the General Counsel for the Orange County Clerk of Circuit and County Courts.
The Clerk of Courts race is an open race. Incumbent Tiffany Moore Russell is not seeking re-election as she runs for Orange County Mayor.
The Clerk of Courts is currently paid $217,979 a year.
The race is one of several races on the ballot in Central Florida as county voters decide on a new County Mayor, County Commissioners, School Board members and Judges.
