Puka Nacua is getting help this offseason — the Los Angeles Rams superstar checked into rehab to focus on “personal growth” early last month … weeks before a woman accused him of biting her during a New Year’s Eve outing.
Levi McCathern, Nacua’s attorney, tells TMZ Sports Puka’s currently at a state-of-the-art holistic care facility in Malibu … and he’s using the time to get in tip-top shape personally and professionally ahead of the season.
McCathern said Nacua will be out in “plenty of time” to make it to Rams OTAs in May … adding, “Puka is also deeply grateful for the support he has received from his family, friends, Coach [Sean] McVay, and his teammates.”
Worth noting — McCathern said this is not the result of the lawsuit Madison Atiabi filed against Nacua last week … in which she stated he drunkenly bit her and uttered an antisemitic comment at a dinner.
Nacua’s rep previously told us Nacua did bite Atiabi in a playful manner … and adamantly denied he ever said anything antisemitic.
TMZ Sports broke the story — Atiabi filed an application for a temporary restraining order in connection to the New Year’s Eve incident last month … but later withdrew it.
She also filed a lawsuit on the matter … and Nacua vowed to fight back with his own.
We even obtained video from the night in question … showing Atiabi shaking her butt in a Sprinter van as the NFL superstar was passed out nearby.
The California Post first reported on Nacua’s rehab.
