Merlin Entertainments is giving free one-day admission to several popular Central Florida tourist attractions to say thank you to active-duty military, veterans and first responders.
The company announced that the deal runs from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 at Legoland Florida, Madame Tussauds Orlando, the Sea Life Orlando aquarium and the Orlando Eye.
The free admission covers those who are active-duty, reserves and veterans in the U.S. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard and National Guard. First responders in law enforcement, EMTs and firefighters also are covered under the deal, according to a press release sent by Merlin.
“In addition to free admission, service members can also enjoy 50% off one-day tickets for up to six accompanying guests, making it the perfect opportunity to bring the whole family for an unforgettable day of fun,” Merlin said in the release. “To claim this offer, eligible guests must verify their status and purchase free and 50% off guest tickets in advance, either online through ID.me or at a local Military Ticket office.”
In 2024, the England-based Merlin Entertainments bought the Orlando Eye — the 400-foot-tall, glowing wheel visible from Interstate 4 — for an undisclosed amount to expand its attractions portfolio in the Sunshine State.
Madame Tussauds Orlando, which is located in the same Icon Park complex as the Eye, recently debuted a new Selena Gomez wax figure. The singer/actress is wearing her red gown from the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Selena Gomez is an international icon whose talent, style and authenticity inspires millions around the world,” Madame Tussauds Orlando manager Paul Gould said in a release.
At Legoland Florida, the family-friendly park is getting ready for Halloween mode. Brick-or-Treat runs from Sept. 20 to Nov. 2 on select days and is included in regular park admission so kids can trick-or-treat and see exclusive characters for meet and greets.
