Wrestling champ Kennedy Blades suplexed Abby Hornacek on live TV … and it was actually the FOX News host’s idea, according to the women, who walked TMZ Sports through the viral moment!
Blades, a 22-year-old world-class wrestler, says she had “just rolled out of bed” when she got the wild request from Hornacek.
“So I see Abby, and she’s all happy and stuff, and then she’s like, ‘Yeah, Kennedy, we want you to suplex me live!’ And I was like, ‘wait, what?’ I was not prepared for that at all!” the 2024 Olympian told Michael Babcock.

Blades says her team suggested a more “kid-friendly” move (like a hip toss), but Hornacek wasn’t having it … she wanted Kennedy’s signature suplex, so that’s what they did!
“A lot of people have asked me what I was thinking,” Abby told us, laughing.
“[Blades] is a true rock star, by the way. We threw this at her at the last minute. It was funny, the day before I went up to Kennedy, that’s when I met her the first time, and said, ‘Can you just show me the anatomy of a suplex?’ She kind of picks me up, and I was like, ‘That was so cool!’ So in my head I was thinking it’d be even cooler if we did the whole thing.”
Hornacek says that, for as scary as the move looked, she had full faith Blades knew exactly what she was doing.
“I was so excited to do this, and I give Kennedy so much credit for saying yes. And, for the record, I never would’ve asked her to do this if I didn’t feel safe with her,” Abby said, adding, “There wasn’t a single moment in my mind that made me doubt her ability to suplex me safely.”
After successfully executing the move on live television, Kennedy wasn’t done for the day. She had a big wrestling match just a few hours later, defending her title at RAF 07 (Real American Freestyle) in Tampa.
