Prince’s Past Collaborator Hospitalized
… After Multi-Unit Apartment Fire

Soul singer Alexander O’Neal — who once worked with Prince — was rushed to the hospital via ambulance early Friday morning with his wife, Cynthia, after a blaze broke out in their apartment complex, TMZ can confirm.
A spokesperson for the city of Burnsville, Minnesota tells TMZ there was a fire reported at the Willoway Apartments at 1:15 in the morning … and other nearby fire departments and public safety teams responded to bring the fire under control.
Only 2 individuals were brought to the hospital, while another person was treated and released at the scene, we’re told. A family member confirmed Cynthia and Alexander were both treated at a local hospital, but declined to share their condition.
Four units in the building were deemed unfit after the fire swept through, while all other residents were allowed to return. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
Alexander was hired by Prince in the 1980s as the lead singer of his side project The Time, but he was fired before the band released any projects. Morris Day famously led the group following Alexander’s firing. We recently broke the news Jellybean Johnson — a founding member of The Time — died unexpectedly.
Alexander went on to have a successful solo career, producing hits such as “Wherever You Will Go” and “Never Knew Love Like This.”

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are taking their globe-trotting romance to social media, where they’ve now gone Instagram official!
The famous singer posted a series of lovey-dovey photos with the former Canadian Prime Minister, showing them as a happy couple during a recent trip to Japan. No real explanation is needed here … just check out the cute pics.
Katy also uploaded a video that captured her and Justin chowing down while staring deeply into each other’s eyes. Another clip showed the couple from behind staring at what appears to be a piece of art depicting outer space.
In the caption, Katy wrote … “Tokyo times on tour and more ( ◠‿◠ ) 🎄🍣🐡🥞💐☃️♥️.”
Katy flew to Japan this week as part of her “Lifetimes” tour, and Justin tagged along … during their visit, they met with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, posing for photos together next to a Christmas tree.

As we reported … Katy and Justin sparked dating rumors in July when we published video of them dining at a Montreal restaurant. Days later, Justin popped up at one of Katy’s concerts in Montreal. Then the two were repeatedly spotted in public side by side and holding hands all around Paris.
