Mike Fasano’s Office features Pace Center for Girls as April charity of the month

The Pasco County Tax Collector’s five offices will feature the Pace Center for Girls of Pasco (Pace Pasco) as its charitable organization for the month of April.

Led by Tax Collector Mike Fasano, the charity of the month program allows visitors to Tax Collector offices to make donations during their visit or online through the agency’s charitable arm, Pasco TC Gives.

Pace Center for Girls offers a full academic school day and comprehensive mental health support for girls in middle and high school, offering them the guidance, resources and support needed to thrive. The program is offered at no cost to participants.

“This wonderful organization helps middle and high school-age girls receive the academic and emotional support they need but may not receive in a traditional educational setting,” Fasano said. “Please consider assisting the students enrolled at the Pace Center for Girls, Pasco by donating when you renew your auto tag. Every dollar helps change the life of a young lady who needs some extra help to succeed!”

Added Pace Center Board Chair Maria Reza: “Pace Pasco plays a vital role in fostering positive change for students and the broader community by offering crucial support services within a safe and supportive environment. These programs ripple outward to benefit more than just students. They also have a transformative impact on their families, social circles, and the wider community. The life changing nature of this organization is why I support and serve Pace Pasco.”

The charity of the month program at the Pasco Tax Collector’s Office has helped a number of local nonprofit organizations, including by supplying Pasco County schools with 500 backpacks filled with school supplies.

The program has also provided holiday meals to more than 600 families; donated more than $40,000 to Pasco school ABC Funds to provide assistance to students in need; provided more than $22,000 to the Humane Society of Pasco; contributed more than $35,000 to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation; donated more than $31,000 to Lauren’s Kids; and added thousands more in donations to local, regional and statewide nonprofits.
