Pastor T.D. Jakes is stepping back from his duties in his megachurch … announcing his successors months after a medical incident onstage ended with him on the operating table.

The pastor — who served as the head of The Potter’s House church since he founded it back in 1996 — told the church Sunday that he would be handing over his duties to Sarah Jakes Roberts and Toure Roberts, his daughter and her husband.

Jakes released a long statement about his departure … citing the need to address major economic issues of the time as part of the impetus for his decision — claiming he wants to focus on “serving as a bridge between community, culture, and corporate alliances to help position our nation for a stronger future.”

Not addressed in the statement, are T.D.’s health concerns … ’cause he’s stepping down less than 6 months after he had a medical incident during a sermon and nearly collapsed onstage.

Remember, T.D. had a medical emergency in November … running into trouble while speaking and ultimately sinking down into a chair.

He received many well-wishes from fans … and, a week later, revealed he had to undergo emergency surgery because of the mysterious health problem — telling his supporters they were “looking at a miracle.”

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus have gone from Instagram official to regular social media sharers … ’cause she posted another PDA-packed pic with him Sunday.

The actress shared a photo where Billy’s standing behind her … arms wrapped around the upper part of her chest and her stomach, head resting on hers.

BRC’s got a soft smile on his face … while EH’s grin lights up the photo — teeth shining a bright white in the snap.

As you know … Elizabeth and Billy went Instagram official a week ago — smooching up a storm in a picture they both shared on social media.

Hurley dished on their romance a few days later … using the word “love” — so, it’s clear the relationship is pretty dang serious.

Elizabeth also admitted Billy first reached out to her during his turbulent relationship with Firerose … his wife of only about a year, who accused him of emotionally abusive behaviors, allegations Billy has denied multiple times.

Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa‘s causes of death have been released … and, it appears he went a while without eating before he passed.

The Office of the Medical Investigator in New Mexico has released final autopsy findings … showing Hackman had a “history of congestive heart failure” and “severe chronic hypertensive changes” to his kidneys, according to Fox News Digital.

While the autopsy, also noted “neurodegenerative features consistent with Alzheimer’s Disease,” Hackman tested negative for Hantavirus … the disease that killed his wife, Betsy.

As you know … Hackman and Arakawa were found dead at the end of February by maintenance workers who called the police.

Body cam footage captured the state of the house — a total mess since Betsy and Gene passed away long before they were found. One of their dogs, who had recently had a medical issue for which it needed to be crated, was also found deceased.

Earlier this month, we obtained a health report showing rodent feces — which can carry hantavirus — were all over the property … often picked up when someone is cleaning the urine or droppings.

Gene was 95. Betsy was 65.
