Angie Stone — a singer and member of the iconic hip hop trio The Sequence — has died … TMZ has confirmed.

The late star’s rep Deborah R. Champagne tells TMZ … Angie left a performance in Montgomery, Alabama early Saturday morning when she was killed in a car crash. No other details are known at this point.

Deborah tells us she just spoke to Angie last night … and the news has rocked and devastated friends and family.

Angie rose to fame as a member of The Sequence — the first all-female group signed to Sugar Hill Records.

The group dropped three albums during their time together between 1979 and 1985 … and dropped their song “Funk You Up,” which has been sampled in numerous other tracks over the years like Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and Dr. Dre’s “Keep Their Heads Ringin’.”

Angie embarked on a solo career in the late 1990s … and, her debut album “Black Diamond” went gold in the U.S. Two years later she released “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” … one of her most popular songs ever.

Angie later made the jump to film appearing in movies like “The Hot Chick” and the Kevin Hart comedy “Ride Along.”

We last caught up to Angie back in 2018 when she talked about younger artists needing to show some respect to previous generations … watch the video for yourself.

We have reached out to Montgomery authorities for more information on the crash … so far, no word back.

Angie is survived by her son Michael, daughter Diamond and 2 grandkids.

She was 63.

All the talk of celebrities being caught on video participating in Diddy‘s “Freak-Offs” is BS — so says Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, who came out swinging on TMZ’s “2 Angry Men” podcast.

Geragos flatly told Harvey and her dad, Mark Geragos, no celebs are on any of the tapes seized by the feds during the raids at Diddy’s homes.

Likewise, Teny says none of the criminal charges against Diddy involve minors … something that has gotten a tremendous amount of play in the media. She says the media has gotten this case utterly wrong.

There have been allegations of Diddy sexually abusing minors in civil cases, and Teny has a lot to say about that … and to say she has disdain for some of the civil lawyers would be a gross understatement.

Teny zeroes in on attorney Tony Buzbee, who has filed a slew of civil cases against Diddy. She scoffs at his first news conference, saying he was ambulance chasing by putting a 1-800 number behind the podium in an attempt to recruit clients.

Harvey asks her why Hollywood has been so incredibly silent when it comes to Diddy, and she was locked and loaded, saying Buzbee made it clear he was going to leverage Diddy to get other celebs to open their wallets out of fear if they didn’t, he’d file a public lawsuit and ruin them. She notes there’s at least one lawsuit against Buzbee alleging extortion.

David Johansen, the frontman for proto-punk band New York Dolls and actor known for his work in the Bill Murray classic “Scrooged,” has died.

Johansen died Friday at his New York home … his death was confirmed by his stepdaughter, Leah Hennessey to multiple outlets.

The iconic rocker with a deep, gravelly voice announced last month he was suffering from stage four cancer, a brain tumor and a broken back — although his cause of death has not been announced.

Then in 2004, New York Dolls reunited … with Johansen, Sylvain Sylvain and Arthur Kane releasing three albums and touring.

Johansen dabbled in acting … and is best known for playing the Ghost of Christmas Past in the ’80s holiday classic “Scrooged.”

David is survived by his wife, Mara Hennessey, and his stepdaughter, Leah.

He was 75.
