Mark Geragos says the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner is right to want transparency in the Celeste Rivas case … and he’s commending the M.E. for speaking out against the LAPD after cops obtained a court order blocking the M.E. from releasing records on the 14-year-old’s death.
The famed defense attorney joined us on “TMZ Live” Wednesday and we asked him about the recent tug-of-war between the M.E. and the LAPD as it relates to Celeste, the young girl whose decomposing body was found in the trunk of singer D4vd‘s Tesla.
Police went to a judge and got a security hold on information regarding Celeste’s death as LAPD continues to investigate … and then the M.E., Dr. Odey Ukpo, put out a statement saying they want “full transparency” and are questioning the purpose and benefit of security holds.
Geragos says his opinion has changed over the years and explains why he’s now of the mind that the more information is out in public before a trial, the better.
What’s more, Geragos thinks the LAPD told the judge who issued the order that their investigation was being compromised by leaks from the coroner.
TMZ broke the story … the LAPD is considering Celeste’s death a homicide, and D4vd is a suspect. We’re also told there is a second suspect who may have assisted in dismembering her body.
As we reported, our sources say the M.E. may not be able to determine cause or manner of death because of the poor state Celeste’s body was in when it was discovered.
LAPD sources have told us the relationship between the M.E. and the LAPD has been strained over the last few years.
Meanwhile, a grand jury has reportedly convened to gather information on Celeste’s death.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz never want their wedding video to see the light of day publicly because of the awkward dance between Brooklyn and his mom, Victoria Beckham … a moment sources tell TMZ was deeply embarrassing and humiliating for Brooklyn.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the couple has no plans to ever release the wedding footage, which includes an extremely uncomfortable dance between Brooklyn and Victoria. We’re told the moment lasted several minutes — an entire song — and left guests unsure how to react.
According to our sources, Victoria was right up against Brooklyn, allegedly in a way grinding on him, and guests felt the interaction crossed a line … behavior those in attendance viewed as more fitting for romantic partners than a mother and son. Our sources say Brooklyn was mortified and never wants the moment made public.
Another reason the couple is confident the footage will remain private is how tightly the wedding was controlled. We’re told no phones were allowed, and everyone attending or working the event signed NDAs and had their phones confiscated. According to our sources, Victoria was the only person allowed to keep her phone after an exception was made.
As for the video itself, our sources say the videography company uploaded the footage directly to a computer accessible only to Brooklyn and Nicola and, per contract, was required to wipe all copies and sign an NDA. If the footage ever leaked publicly, our sources say it would be immediately clear that it came from the videographer.
We’re told Brooklyn has stayed offline since posting his statement Monday and isn’t reading reactions. The couple is currently lying low. Brooklyn, we’re told, is surprised and appreciative of the support he’s received.
Brooklyn broke his silence on Instagram, accusing his parents of being controlling, image-obsessed, and dishonest, and making clear he’s done trying to reconcile. He pushed back on claims Nicola controls him, alleging his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name, bailed on Nicola’s wedding dress, and that Victoria hijacked a dance at their wedding.

Fetty Wap is in full doting-dad mode after getting out of prison … reuniting with his daughter Khari — and TMZ’s got the very first pic from their emotional reunion.
Sources close to the fam tell us Fetty spent all of last week bonding with Khari — the daughter he shares with ex Masika — and it’s safe to say she was over the moon to have her dad back. Fetty was also kicking it with Masika’s daughter Amari, who she shares with her late husband.
We’re told 9-year-old Khari was so happy it actually made Masika cry. The whole crew rolled up to the studio with Fetty, grabbed food, did some shopping, and Khari even met all of her siblings — Fetty’s other kids — for the very first time, and everybody got along great.
As we told you, Fetty and Masika settled their differences after he got out of prison … and they were totally cool with each other all week.

Masika’s now even thinking about Fetty’s offer to move her and the kids back to New Jersey, since he’s stuck in Philly on home confinement until November.
And about any romance popping back off? Our source says “never say never,” based on how well Fetty and Masika have been getting along. For now, though, we’re told they’re both keeping it all about co-parenting.
