L.A. County District Attorney Nathan Hochman will hold a news conference Monday at 10 AM PT on resentencing the Menendez brothers … what’s curious is that resentencing is now irrelevant.

Sources say Hochman is expected to take a stand on whether Erik and Lyle should be resentenced, but the hearing that was scheduled for later this month has been pushed, and it’s unlikely it will ever happen.

As we reported, Cali Governor Gavin Newsom has taken the reins and asked the California Board of Parole Hearings to evaluate the Menendez brothers to determine if they pose a danger to society. The Board will issue its findings and send that on to the Governor, who will then determine if Erik and Lyle should go free.

Newsom just announced Monday he’s proposing new regulations that will make it easier for the Parole Board to assess whether prisoners are suitable for parole, which may be good news for Erik and Lyle.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon appeared in high spirits as they chatted it up at the SXSW Film & TV Festival over the weekend for the premiere of their new film “The Accountant 2.”

Cheerful Ben paid his friend Mark Cuban a visit in the theater. They appeared to have a playful exchange before Ben hugged a well-dressed individual and eventually found his own seat.

Ben stars in “The Accountant 2” … reprising his role from 2016’s “The Accountant” alongside Jon Bernthal.

Ben and Matt co-produced the film with their company, Artists Equity.

Alabama Barker has found love amid her beef with Bhad Bhabie … ’cause Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler‘s daughter just revealed her relationship with UCLA football player Scooter Jackson.

The 19-year-old rapper and influencer went public with the romance over the weekend … showing her sitting in the California native’s lap and dancing with him in front of the camera.

No word on how long their coupling has been brewing … but the cornerback recently transferred to the Bruins after a few years at Utah Tech, so we take it they connected some time after that.

Of course, Barker’s in the middle of a bitter feud with BB … with the two releasing diss tracks aimed at each other over — with the latter’s on-and-off boyfriend, Le Vaughn, at the center of the whole issue.

Unclear if Alabama’s new boo will help cool the tensions … but as we previously reported, Bhabie recently booked it outta Los Angeles due to some serious concerns over her safety — so she’s got bigger fish to fry.
