London-based luxury resale platform Sign of the Times is widening its full consignment service to include Manchester and Cheshire homes this month, “marking an exciting new chapter in the brand’s nationwide expansion”.
That full-service offer will include complimentary collection, expert authentication, valuation and payments, it said.
The platform accepts pieces that are one to three seasons prior, from both superbrands and contemporary brands. It operates on a global selling network for maximum sell-through and services can be booked via the website. VIP sellers also receive a dedicated concierge service and WhatsAppChanel.
Founded in London almost 30 years ago, Sign of the Times’ original purpose was rooted in reselling the designer items owned by the celebrities of the day. Now the platform says it “continues to set the standard in authenticated designer resale, attracting praise from top tier publications and an array of celebrity and influencer fans”.
Antonia Johnstone, the owner and CEO of Sign of the Times, said: “We believe strongly in the circular economy and making luxury fashion more sustainable. Expanding into Manchester and Cheshire is a natural next step for us, with growing demand for home collections in the area.”
To celebrate the launch, Sign of the Times will also hosting a series of exclusive events in collaboration with tastemaker Stacey Forsey, Kings Street Townhouse hotel in central Manchester, and fine jewellery brand Boodles.
