Hardy London Fashion Week aficionados will be pleased there will be a few extra options for a coffee/tea/sandwich/pastry fix, courtesy of sportswear brands Lacoste and Nike/British Vogue.
Let’s open with Lacoste which has unveiled a tennis-inspired pop-up café at Selfridges’ Duke Street Canopy named Le Lacoste Serve. As an added bonus, it’s accompanied by an Accessories Hall pop-up featuring the brand’s Lenglen bag.
The café is based on the set design from Lacoste’s AW25 fashion show on centre court at Roland Garros, Paris, the exterior of the van draws inspiration from the red clay surface, with the new Lacoste Lenglen bags displayed inside.
Open until 21 September, Lacoste has partnered with London-based, French influenced, independent bakery Miel by French-trained pastry chef Shaheen Peerhabi to create inspired food and beverages.
Then there’s the British Vogue and Nike immersive café experience at Corner Shop on Arundel Street – just a stone’s throw from London Fashion Week’s hub at 180 Strand.
Open from 10am to 5pm on 20-21 September, the café will host The Nike Deli, a take over of Corner Shop’s deli counter serving customised breakfast bites, pastries, all-day refreshments and energy snacks. Ice cream by Soho’s gelateria Gelupo, and a floral pop-up offering bouquets with bespoke wrapping will also be on offer.
As a bonus, on the hour, every hour, “mindfulness moments” will be hosted by Nike ambassadors and guests can opt for breathwork or meditation sessions “to ground themselves and unwind over the course of a busy weekend”.
