Let ‘em Run readies for interesting Preakness Stakes
Let ’em Run needs a big weekend
Let ‘em Run Review of 5/9/26 and Preview of 5/16/26
The Preakness Stakes will be run on Saturday 5/16/26 for the first time ever at Laurel Park
Racecourse, while Pimlico undergoes some (much needed) renovations. This makes next
years’ Triple Crown Road look very interesting as we will have The Kentucky Derby as always at
Churchill Downs, The Preakness at the newly upgraded Pimlico Racecourse, and The Belmont
returning to the newly upgraded Belmont Park Racecourse.
This past weekend on Saturday, we nailed the big races at Belmont at The Big A, and here is
the review of what was a good weekend for Let ‘em Run.
Belmont at The Big A
Race 7 The Ruffian Stakes
We nailed the winner, #6 Irish Maxima who paid a nice $14.44 for the win. This horse had
several angles we liked, including Brisnet.com #1 Prime Power. A good start to a P5 sequence.
Race 8 The Take The A Train Stakes
Our top pick got a rough start, and could only finish in 4th place. We did include the winner #6 in
our win candidates, as this runner was also #1 Prime Power
Race 9 The Peter Pan Stakes
In this race we made it very clear, that taking a stand on the #3 Growth Equity, would allow you
to single here, and spread later. Jockey Flavian Prat took this mount and showed why we
should keep an eye on this runner moving forward, as he won quite impressively.
Race 10
Jockey Flavian Prat did it again, as post time favorite, and a pick we included, #3 Arkhipov. This
runner shipped to The Big A for trainer Chad Brown and did the job, and paid $7.24 for the
effort.
Race 11
This is where we would have gone deeper on our P5 ticket (we had 2,5,9), but keeping the
ticket budget friendly at $120 was our 1st priority. But if you took our play in race 9, and singled
there, you may have included the winner here, #4 Sammy C Note. Jockey Dylan Davis looks to
be getting back in top form again, and this runner paid $19.18 for the win, to key a $718 dollar
P5 payout. My partner John Kostin often talks about “ticket structure”
, so we will be sure to tap
into that topic again, when he returns home from his trip abroad.
We have a big weekend ahead, with The Preakness being run on Saturday May 16th at Laurel
Park. The field looks to be very competitive, even though only one runner from The Kentucky
Derby is entered (#2 Ocelli). We will be having our Happy Hour Show on Friday at 3pm where
we will deep dive The Black Eyed Susan. Then on Saturday at 12:30 we break down the LateP5 from Laurel Park, including The Preaknesss. The outlook is fast and firm in Laurel, Maryland
on Saturday… so stay tuned.
Be sure to check out Brisnet.com and The Preakness Package they are offering for $28.99,
loaded with information, and sure to give handicappers an edge. And as always, bet smart,
