One Week Out from the Big Day, Let ’em Run checks out Aqueduct
We are about one week away from THE big day, and once post positions are drawn on Saturday, the real analysis can begin. Until then, Let ‘em Run will continue doing our part to provide in-depth coverage with the latest updates as they unfold.
Stay Tuned for Key Updates
We will be breaking down the Late P5 at Aqueduct this Saturday. The weather forecast could play a major role, with rain potentially impacting track conditions. That makes it even more important to tune in to our Saturday podcast at 12:30, where we will adjust picks based on scratches and any late changes. You can catch us on Sports Talk Media Network and multiple streaming apps and social channels.
Saturday 4/25/26 – Late P5 at Aqueduct (Races 6–10)
Race 6 – 3:46 EST | 1 Mile Dirt OC 75K/N2X
This race will stay on dirt regardless of weather, and we are locked in on the #3 Lonesome Road (5-1). This is jockey Mychal Sanchez’s only mount, and we expect him to send this runner straight to the front. The #5 Contrary Thinking (6-1), with Dylan Davis aboard, is dropping from tougher stakes company and deserves respect.
If this race stays on turf, #8 Burhan (GB) (4-1) looks primed to improve in his second start on American soil with Flavian Prat in control. For value, #10 Fluid Situation (8-1) could sit a perfect stalking trip and get first run on the leaders.
Race 8 – 4:55 EST | 1 Mile Inner Turf ALW 77KN1X
This shapes up as the most formful race in the sequence. We land on #8 Just for Luck (4-1), who steps up in class but picks up Flavian Prat and owns the top Prime Power and last race speed rating. The #2 Willpowered (3-1) continues to improve for trainer Miguel Clement and must be included.
Race 9 – 5:28 EST | 7 Furlongs Dirt OC45K/N2X
The #6 Sheriff Bianco (8-1) is knocking on millionaire status and looking for a third straight win. The #2 Trust Fund (5-1) and #9 Unbroken Chain (9-2) are also strong contenders in a competitive field.
A large field of maidens makes this a tricky finale. We land on #6 Bashful Baby (7-2), with trainer Richard Dutrow hitting at 40% with second-time Lasix runners. The class drop from MSW to Maiden Claiming is significant. For value, #1 Mo Complex (8-1) stands out with a rider switch to Manny Franco and some tough racing luck in prior starts.
Looking Ahead to Derby Week
Stay tuned as we gear up for the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby. Our Saturday podcast at 12:30 will be critical for last-minute updates, and we have special shows planned throughout the week. On Saturday, May 2nd, we will be live from the Hibernian Club with special guests and key Derby insights to help guide your picks.
As always—bet smart, cheer hard, fast horses can lead to serious fun… and in the end, Let ‘em Run.
