Late NASCAR star Greg Biffle‘s wife, Cristina, sent her mom an alarming message minutes before they died in a plane crash.

Cristina Biffle texted her mother, “We’re in trouble,” according to PEOPLE.

Greg’s mother-in-law, Cathy Grossu, told the outlet that’s all she heard from her daughter before the plane crash … and she says the family is “devastated” and “brokenhearted.”

As we reported … Thursday’s fiery crash in North Carolina claimed seven lives … Greg, Cristina, and his two kids … plus Dennis Dutton, his son, Jack, and Craig Wadsworth.

The private jet, a Cessna C550, was registered to a company owned by Biffle … and it crash-landed near a runway 26 minutes after taking off from Statesville Regional Airport.

The flight was originally scheduled to travel to Florida, but the plane seemed to turn back towards the airport just minutes into the flight.

It’s unclear what caused the crash … the FAA is investigating.

Kata Hay, a former contestant on “The Voice,” has been arrested on a vehicular homicide warrant … TMZ has learned.

The Goodlettsville Police Department in Tennessee tells TMZ she had a warrant out of Davidson County, TN … and was picked up by authorities in Oklahoma early Wednesday morning. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office in OK tells TMZ a deputy from their department arrested her in a residence in the county on the active Tennessee warrant.

She’s currently being held at the Osage County Jail in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and the sheriff’s office tells us she will go before a district court judge Monday to sign a waiver of extradition.

This isn’t Kata’s first run-in with the law. She served several months in jail in 2022 after she pleaded guilty to making sexual advances toward a 16-year-old boy when she was 35. At the time, the victim’s mother claimed she shoved her tongue in his mouth and touched him inappropriately outside of his jeans. While the country singer argued the story wasn’t fully accurate, she wasn’t able to support her argument.

TMZ has reached out to Kata for comment … so far, no word back.

Terence Crawford hasn’t been retired for a full week, but he’s already got another fight on his hands — albeit a legal one — ’cause the legendary boxer has been sued by a prominent jeweler who claims Bud lied to him and screwed him over.

In the lawsuit, filed on December 18 and obtained by TMZ Sports, 38-year-old Crawford is accused of hitting up Mazza New York in February 2024 for several custom pendants for him and his team (we previously reported when Bud copped ’em).

According to Mazza, Crawford became interested in a $139k Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch while in the store, but rather than buying it flat out, Mazza claims Bud suggested he pay $35k, and then would cover the rest by promoting the jewelry store on his trunks during a fight.

Mazza says he agreed, however, when Crawford’s August 2024 fight against Israil Madrimov rolled around, the jeweler claims the logo “had completely fallen off” by the 4th round.

Mazza claims that Crawford and his representatives acknowledged that they did not fulfill the agreement and promised to make it up in the next fight, which was against Canelo Alvarez.

The jeweler says he delivered a patch with his logo to Bud’s rep before the September 13 mega-fight, but says he was ultimately told the “logo would not appear on Crawford’s shorts during the Alvarez fight.”

Mazza says he wasn’t given “any reason or explanation for this sudden and unexpected change” regarding the patch on Terence’s shorts.

By allegedly blowing off the agreement, Mazza says his business was deprived of an opportunity to elevate his brand, claiming he missed out on an estimated $1.5 million worth of promotion.
