One of Florida’s most prominent law firms has been named one of the best in the county.
The publication and website Best Lawyers has named Gunster for high honors in several categories of its new Best Law Firms National and Regional rankings for 2026. The West Palm Beach-based firm with about a dozen offices in the state snagged multiple awards on both the national and regional levels from Best Lawyers.
Gunster earned 11 national rankings and 116 regional rankings in eight different cities. National areas of recognition for Gunster included appellate practice, commercial litigation, corporate law, land use and zoning law, banking and finance litigation, First Amendment litigation, media law, real estate law, securities and capital markets law, tax law and trusts and estates.
Gunster was founded in 1925 and has expanded to a total of 13 cities in Florida. Firm officials say they attract “business-savvy” lawyers while still offering personalized service to clients throughout much of the Florida peninsula.
In the firm’s appellate practice alone, Gunster claims they see all cases completely through and that’s part of the reason they were rated so highly in the Best Lawyers ranking.
“Gunster’s state and federal court Appellate team is focused on assisting with the development of strategy from the early stages of litigation through the appeals. Gunster seeks to understand the challenges that surface throughout the litigation and appeals processes. Our Appellate practitioners team with trial attorneys to work through and assist in resolving difficult issues of record development and preservation in order to position the case for either the defense or prosecution of an appeal,” said Gunster officials.
Gunster has grown to employ about 320 lawyers and consultants. Another 300 professional staff serve the firm which is now ranked as one of the top 200 law firms in the country by the National Law Journal. It’s also been ranked as one of the top 100 Diverse Law Firms by Law360.
