The Sarasota Republican seeks a fourth term.

If someone wants to challenge Rep. Greg Steube in 2024, that candidate will be going against the Donald Trump machine.

Trump said Saturday that Steube is “a tremendous Representative for the Great People of Florida’s 17th Congressional District!”

“A Former Captain of the U.S. Army JAG Corps, Greg knows the Wisdom and Courage that is required to Defend our Country, Support our Incredible Military/Veterans, and Champion PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. In Congress, Greg is working hard to Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion Small Business, Advance American Energy DOMINANCE, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment,” Trump added.

Steube, who is pushing to give Trump a “Congressional gold medal” for his ” extraordinary peacemaking efforts throughout the world and in facilitating the Trump peace agreement to end the war in Gaza and bring lasting peace to the Middle East,”  is very well-positioned as the 2024 cycle heats up.

According to Federal Elections Commission records, he has nearly $1.9 million cash on hand.

Democrat Allen Spence, who is the only other candidate to report financial activity, has less than $1,000 to spend.

Steube has never gotten less than 60% of the vote in a General Election in his district.
