Sheive replaces Anthony Cook, who abruptly resigned from the School Board after barely a year of service.
The Osceola County School Board is getting a new District 3 member after the former officeholder left after less than two years.
Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Jolene Sheive to fill the vacant District 3 seat.
Anthony Cook abruptly announced his resignation from the School Board seat in January. Cook said he was stepping down for “personal reasons,” according to a report in the Osceola News Gazette. Cook was initially elected to the post in November 2024.
DeSantis chose Sheive to replace Cook because she is deeply involved in the Osceola County community. She has lived in the county for more than 20 years and has deep business and civic connections.
Sheive is a broker at Legacy Realty of Central Florida. She also owns her own business, Stadium Place Administration. She was a member of the Osceola County Association of Realtors, Osceola Chamber of Commerce and the Osceola County Education Foundation.
