Realtor Stacy Plean of Boynton Beach is the newest member of the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees, courtesy of an appointment by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis’ Office announced Plean’s move to the Board amid a flurry of appointments this week.

An associate broker with LoKation Real Estate and the founder of The HomeSeeker Group, Plean’s work in the real property sales industry dates back decades, according to her LinkedIn profile.

That includes some related political activity. She is the current 2026 Regional Vice President and Co-Chair of the state-level Realtors Political Advocacy Committee (RPAC) for Broward, Palm Beach & St. Lucie Realtors.

She also serves on the State and Local Issues Policy Committee of the National Association of Realtors and the Public Policy Committee of Florida Realtors.

Since 2021, Plean has made 49 state-level political donations. Forty-eight went to RPAC, state records show. One $137 check went to DeSantis’ former political committee, Empower Parents PAC, in April 2023.

All of Plean’s federal-level political donations have gone to the National Association of Realtors PAC.

Her community involvements include membership to Florida’s Alzheimer’s Disease Advisory Council.

The Governor’s Office said Plean “attended Nassau Community College.” Her LinkedIn page does not show that she graduated.

Plean and her husband, Doug, run a joint X page that featured real estate business-related posts through November 2022. After DeSantis launched his unsuccessful presidential campaign in May 2023, the page mostly reposted political posts, including multiple videos attacking also-ran GOP candidate Nikki Haley and another sharing a video DeSantis posted Jan. 21, 2024, announcing his exit from the presidential race. It’s the page’s most recent post.

Plean’s addition to the Palm Beach State College District Board comes just over six months after DeSantis named conservative media editor Tracy Caruso, the wife of former Rep. Mike Caruso — whom the Governor appointed as Palm Beach County Clerk in August — to the five-member panel.

In October, DeSantis appointed Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Executive Director David Kerner, a former state lawmaker, to the Board.

In March 2024, DeSantis appointed former Donald Trump adviser Daniel Epstein and biotech executive Jon Harrison to the Board, which Epstein now chairs.

The Board’s fifth member, Michael Derilus, is a Student Trustee.

The Palm Beach State College Board is the school’s governing body, responsible for oversight of the college’s strategy, financial health and governance, and ensuring the institution fulfills its mission and serves the needs of students and the community.

The terms of the four Governor-appointed Trustees are for four years. They may serve up to two consecutive terms. The Student Trustee serves a one-year term and represents the student body in a nonvoting capacity.

Plean’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
