Beyoncé’s love story could’ve had a totally different soundtrack — she was actually torn between Jay-Z and another guy back in the day, and had to bring in her mama for some decision-making.

It was the singer’s mom, Tina Knowles, who spilled the tea in her new memoir “Matriarch,” revealing that while Beyoncé was bonding with Jay-Z over the phone back in the day, she was also juggling another guy in the industry at the same time.

Tina elaborated … saying Bey and Jay were giving each other solid advice about the industry in 2001, and as their phone chats kept going, their friendship started to run deeper.

Things got real when both Jay-Z and the other guy showed up in town at the same time, and a panicked Beyoncé called her mom, saying she didn’t know what to do.

Tina straight-up asked her which one she liked more … and she could tell Beyoncé was thinking it over before finally settling on Jay.

Police in Vermont investigating the sudden death of 24-year-old actress Sophie Nyweide say she was found lifeless on a riverbank … and they’re looking into a range of possible causes, including foul play.

Bennington Police tell TMZ … Sophie’s body was found not far from a high school in Bennington around 4 AM on April 14, and she was declared dead at the scene.

We’re told her body was near a lean-to — a makeshift structure made from downed trees — and nothing is being ruled out at this point in terms of a cause of death.

Police tell us there were other people hanging out with Sophie at the lean-to before her death … and cops are trying to track them down for interviews.

We’re told Sophie did not live in the lean-to, but this was not her first time visiting the structure.

Sophie Nyweide’s mom previously told us she was using drugs.

She was 24.

The woman who accused Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her when she was 13 years old is now taking legal steps to try and dismiss a lawsuit Jay-Z filed against her.

Jay’s accuser, who first sued him for rape as a Jane Doe, filed new legal docs Tuesday to dismiss the defamation suit the music mogul filed against her and her attorney, Tony Buzbee, in Alabama.

In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the woman claims Jay-Z can’t sue her over the claims because she made them in court documents and are therefore privileged … adding that the interview she did with NBC was based on her claims in the court docs.

As we reported … the woman claimed Jay and Diddy raped her in New York back in 2000. She ultimately dropped the rape lawsuit … and Jay-Z then sued her and Buzbee in Alabama, where she lives, over bringing the case in the first place.

The woman now wants Jay-Z’s lawsuit dismissed with prejudice, meaning it can’t be filed again.

Buzbee previously filed a motion to get Jay’s lawsuit against him dismissed … claiming they struck a deal and Jay reneged … an allegation HOV’s camp previously told us was bogus.

In her motion, the woman makes a similar claim about dismissing her lawsuit per the alleged agreement.
