There’s busy and then there’s Howard de Walden busy. The central London property company is welcoming a host of new names and the return of one “much-loved” store to its 95-acre Marylebone retail portfolio.

And it’s a much-in-demand area of the capital as it has “no units available to let”, the property company said.
The area, which includes popular Marylebone Village, sees global beauty brand Space NK reposition on Marylebone High Street. Having been a feature of the street for over 25 years, the new and improved store triples in size to 2,800 sq ft where shoppers “will be able to enjoy a wider range of its high-end beauty and lifestyle brands”.
Men’s and women’s fashion brand Vince has opened its European flagship store at 87 Marylebone High Street across two floors and 3,000 sq ft, with its “beautifully designed space drawing inspiration from 1970s Italian architecture, interiors, and sculpture”. It will also house the brand’s largest menswear offer in Europe.
Also new to the area is textile brand Tekla, launching its first UK store opening in late autumn. It will feature its innovative Danish bespoke homewares within a 2,100 sq ft space on Marylebone High Street, becoming its first store outside of Copenhagen.
French ready-to-wear brand Soeur is also set to open its third London boutique there from November, occupying 2,770 sq ft.
Luxury fragrance brand Jorum Studio will also be opening its doors before Christmas in 580 sq ft space off New Cavendish Street. The independent fragrance house, founded in Scotland in 2019, is led by Scottish perfumer Euan McCall.
Finally, footwear boutique store Flabelus will open at 45 Marylebone High Street later this month with a unique offer where all the shoes are named after literary characters. The store will be its second London opening, occupying 466 sq ft.
Rob Kirk, head of Retail at The Howard de Walden Estate, said: “The arrival of these new brands in Marylebone Village highlights the appeal and quality of the prime retail space we offer. Demand for stores is at its highest with double-digit offers on Marylebone High Street.
“It is encouraging also to see existing brands refurbish their stores to keep the offering fresh and appealing to their loyal customer base. We remain committed to curating a diverse mix of retailers that serve both our local residents and visitors, helping to foster a lively and engaging environment throughout the village.”
