Footasylum‘s Dan Moneypenny has left the fast-expanding streetwear retailer after three years as vice-president of International. Although he’s yet to divulge his next job, he said on LinkedIn it’s “an opportunity… I couldn’t turn down, and I cannot wait to get started…”

Moneypenny joined as director of Wholesale in August 2023 and was promoted to his final post in November 2025. Shortly afterwards, Footasylum announced a new strategic partnership with global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate Apparel Group to open 40 stores in the ‘Gulf Cooperation Council’ region, which includes the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, within five years. It marked the retailer’s first move into physical retail outside of the UK.

A Footasylum spokesperson confirmed Moneypenny’s departure, adding: “We’d like to thank him for his contribution to the business and wish him all the best for the future.”

Prior to joining Footasylum, Moneypenny was director of Wholesale at Castore, following eight years at Pentland Brands, including head of Sales for Sports Fashion.

In May, Footasylum appointed a new chief executive, Hannah Mercer, replacing David Pujolar who left the business in February, with Stephan Rahmede, filling the post on a temporary basis.

Mercer previously worked at Gymshark, where she was global general manager for Wholesale, Retail and Franchise.
