Has A.I. entered the White House? There’s an interesting theory circulating social media claiming President Trump‘s new sweeping reciprocal tariffs — slapping a minimum 10% tariff on nearly 100 countries — were formulated with the help of artificial intelligence.

The theory comes after several X users claimed they duplicated the same tariff plan via OpenAI’s ChatGPT and similar programs.

For background, the White House announced it calculated the size of the trade deficit between the U.S. and a given country and divided that by how much America imports from the chosen country. That number was then divided in half, reaching the new tariff rate.

Crypto trader Jordan “Cobie” Fish shared a screenshot asking ChatGPT to “calculate the tariffs that should be imposed on other countries so that the US is on even playing fields when it comes to trade deficit” with a baseline of 10% … and it answered with a noticeably similar plan to what the White House used.

ChatGPT warned Cobie the plan fails to take into account the “intricate dynamics of international trade — such as elasticities, retaliatory measures, and supply chain nuances.”

Plus, Elon Musk‘s AI chatbot Grok created a similar plan when instructed with the same prompt. It also cautioned one must “consider production costs, subsidies, and labor standards abroad” when hoping to achieve an “even playing field.”

Furthermore, Grok warned such a formula could cause “retaliation or higher costs for US consumers.”

Other X users have noticed similar formulas generated via 4o, o3 high, Gemini 2.5 pro, and Claude 3.7.

Economist James Surowiecki says he was also able to reverse-engineer the “fake tariff rates” … calling the simplicity of it all “extraordinary nonsense.”

When Trump announced his new tariffs Thursday, he said they were necessary to boost domestic manufacturing, create revenue for the U.S. and restore fairness to global trade.

Evidence is mounting that Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre may have lied about the seriousness of her car wreck in Australia last month, according to a report.

Multiple parents of children on a school bus that collided with Giuffre’s car blasted the Epstein accuser, with one calling her a liar for saying she only had four days to live.

The parents told London’s Telegraph newspaper their kids quickly dismissed the accident as nothing more than a “small crash” after exiting the bus to assess the damage. They also reportedly blasted Giuffre’s characterization that she suffered life-threatening injuries.

Another parent, Hayley Miller, said she was “disgusted” by Giuffre’s Instagram post showing her badly bruised face with a caption warning that she had 4 days left on this earth.

Miller said, “The whole story is sick, and I don’t know what’s true and what is not but I do know [the injuries] are not from the bus incident.”

Miller added, “It’s lies. I don’t know what she is trying to get from all of it… but I do feel bad for her and I hope she gets help.”

According to police, Giuffre got into the fender bender with the school bus in Neergabby — a farm town about 12 miles north of Perth — just after 3 PM on March 24. Cops described it as a “minor collision” with no reported injuries.

Giuffre’s rep issued a statement, saying she transported herself to a hospital after her “condition worsened” following the accident. The rep also claimed the children on the bus were “traumatized,” which is the opposite of what everyone else says.

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis made a surprise appearance together Thursday to promote the sequel to their popular 2003 film, “Freaky Friday.”

The actresses made an appearance during CinemaCon, strolling onstage at Caesers Palace in Las Vegas to talk to fans about their upcoming movie, “Freakier Friday,” set to be released August 8.

The two were all smiles, with Jamie wrapping an arm around Lindsay, who told the crowd, “We can’t begin to tell you how amazing it’s been to be back in Anna and Tess’s shoes.”

Of course, Lindsay was referring to the characters she and Jamie played in the fantasy comedy — Anna and Tess Coleman. In the original film, Tess and Anna are mother and daughter and they wake up one day to discover they’ve switched bodies.

At the event, Jamie tweaked Lindsay’s comments, telling the crowd they wouldn’t be spending “much time in those shoes actually since this Friday is even freakier because this time we have doubled the swaps.”

Lindsay said fans would get to see her and Jamie “take on all new personalities because we find the bodies we have swapped with our teenage counterparts.”

The trailer for “Freakier Friday” revealed that this time around there’s a four-way body swap involving Anna, Tess and Anna’s daughter and stepdaughter.

At Thursday’s event, Curtis noted moviegoers would get to view her like “never before thanks to a very aggressive teenage makeover.”
