Floridian Partners adds Daniela Herrera to further insurance and banking services

Floridian Partners has added Daniela Herrera to its practice, bringing a legislative track record of success and a bilingual boost to the firm.

“We are proud to welcome Daniela, who brings both legal acumen and on-the-ground legislative experience that will deliver value across our diverse client base,” Floridian Partners Managing Partner Charlie Dudley said.

Herrera most recently served as legal counsel to the Insurance and Banking Subcommittee, making her an asset to Floridian Partners’ regulatory practice in insurance, financial services and other highly regulated industries.

“Insurance dominated the news cycle and House agenda last year, and Daniela was in the trenches,” said George Feijoo, partner and Chair of the firm’s financial services practice. “Her unique ability to connect with key delegations and translate complex financial issues will serve our clients and the marketplace as a whole.”

Herrera became known during her service in the House as a trusted adviser on some of the most critical issues facing lawmakers and residents, including property insurance, artificial intelligence, banking and financial regulation. She helped draft legislation and supported legislative members through Committee debates. She also worked closely to ensure industry stakeholders, regulators, and constituents consider all angles during the policymaking process.

“Having Daniela as legal counsel made a tremendous difference to our work on the Insurance and Banking Subcommittee,” said Rep. Brad Yeager, who chairs the Committee for which Herrera provided counsel. “Throughout our challenging agenda, I trusted her to deliver sound judgment on critical issues and clear legal guidance under pressure.”

Herrera is a first-generation attorney with strong roots in South Florida, including the region’s substantial impact on state politics. Before serving in the Legislature as legal counsel, Herrera worked in private practice, including in criminal defense, ADA compliance, contract negotiations and sports and entertainment law.

“Daniela’s legal and legislative experience, combined with her strong ties to South Florida, adds a dynamic new voice for our growing list of South Florida clients,” said Jorge Chamizo, co-founding partner of Floridian Partners.

Added Rep. Wyman Duggan, Speaker Pro Tempore in the House: “We are excited to continue working with Daniela in this new role. She understands the value of the policymaking process and brings insight that will further both her clients’ and Floridians’ continued success.”

Floridian Partners is a lobbying and consulting firm with offices in Tallahassee and Miami, providing government affairs, communications and business consulting services to clients across a variety of industries. Its members influence every level of state government and work nationwide through a multi-state advocacy network.
