‘Based on recent price patterns, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see gas prices increase this week.’

Gas prices in Florida are lower than ever in 2025.

Monday morning’s state average was $2.84 per gallon. That’s lower than any price point since December 2023, according to AAA — The Auto Club Group.

The state average is 13 cents cheaper than last Monday, 15 cents less than a month ago and 29 cents less expensive than last year.

“Low gas prices should give travelers confidence as they finalize Thanksgiving road trip plans,” AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins said in a statement.

“However, based on recent price patterns, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see gas prices increase this week.”

AAA said Florida has followed a familiar cycle for more than a year where the state average declines for five to 10 days before shooting up 10 to 20 cents, after which it falls again.

“We’re now at the end of an 8-day streak of declines. During that time, the state average dropped 12 cents per gallon. If the trend holds, an uptick may be eminent,” AAA said.

The most affordable gas in Florida can be found in Pensacola, where motorists Monday morning paid an average $2.67 per gallon for a tank of regular, followed by the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach and Panama City, where the average per-gallon pump price was $2.71.

The most expensive market, as usual, was the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area ($3), followed by Gainesville ($2.93) and Naples ($2.91).

The national average was $3.07 per gallon, with the cheapest gas being in Oklahoma ($2.56) and the priciest being California ($4.72).
