Cornish outdoor brand Finisterre is continuing its UK retail expansion with three new stores opening this season.
Reflecting the brand’s “commitment to bringing functional and sustainable apparel to key outdoor and coastal communities across the UK”, the new locations are in Cambridge (2,300 sq ft, opening at the end of March), Cardiff (2,100 sq ft, opening in April) and Poole (2,500 sq ft, opening in May and becoming its second biggest UK store).
The latest expansion follows a “landmark year” for the brand, included the opening of Finisterre’s new London flagship (80% larger than its previous location) and further openings in Brighton and Holt, Norfolk.
As of spring, the brand will operate 14 retail stores across the UK.
“These three new locations are an important step in Finisterre’s broader retail strategy,” said CEO Will Sheane.
“Expanding into key cities like Cambridge, Cardiff, and Poole enables us to strengthen our brand presence and connect with a diverse customer base. Each store represents a strategic opportunity to grow the Finisterre community while meeting the increasing demand for high-quality, functional outdoor wear.”
Looking ahead, Sheane said the brand is actively exploring further UK expansion beyond 2025.
Last month, Finisterre also made regenerative organic cotton the mainstay of its spring/summer 2025 collection. For the new season, over 75% of the T-shirt range will be made using regeneratively farmed organic cotton, “marking a major step forward in the brand’s commitment to pioneering the use of lower-impact natural fibres that support thriving ecosystems”.
