The Florida Policy Project is gearing up for its 14th annual Florida Automated Vehicles Summit in November.
The FAV summit, set for Nov. 11-13 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and advocates focused on the future of autonomous and shared vehicle technology.
Organizers say this year’s theme, “It’s Happening,” reflects the “successes Florida is experiencing in autonomy, shared vehicles and automation.” The event will include keynote speakers, panel discussions and interactive sessions aimed at fostering conversations on autonomous vehicle policy.
Alongside the summit announcement, the organization also rolled out a redesigned website intended to serve as a central hub for event updates, registration and partnership opportunities.
“The future of mobility isn’t some distant promise. It’s here, it’s accelerating, and it’s happening right now. Fourteen years ago, we set out with a bold ambition to make Florida the national leader in autonomy and innovation policy. Today, that vision is no longer theoretical. It’s real, and it’s happening at scale. You can see it in the progress of companies like Waymo, Zoox, and a growing ecosystem of innovators who have chosen Florida as the place to build, test, and deploy what’s next,” said Florida Policy Project President Jeff Brandes, a former Senator.
“The cars may be self-driving, but the policy and vision must be driven, thoughtfully, intentionally, and with a clear focus on the future. Florida isn’t just adapting to change. We’re shaping it and being shaped by it. And in Florida it’s happening every single day.”
